Thank you.
We, Low Red land, are taking a break to “pursue other endeavors.” It may well be permanent. This may be news to you, and it may not. We’ve been living with this knowledge for some time now, and it is what it is. You would probably get three different, long, complicated answers if you asked us about it, so I’m not going to take up any space trying to sum up our thoughts on this situation. The one thing I am sure I can say on behalf of the group is that we are forever grateful and indebted to the people that were there with us and for us for any of the last 5 years. We could not have done this without our families, friends, fellow bands, strangers who knew the words to our songs, everyone who opened their homes, everyone who toured with us, everyone who set up shows, everyone who bought an album or downloaded it and actually listened to it, and the one person who thought he gave us bedbugs but (thankfully) actually didn’t.
In light of all of the things we never got to do, it is important for us to thank you all for being a part of this and for making this experience everything that it was, and more than we ever expected. In the past, we would get home from tour and have a hard time explaining what it was like to anyone who asked. There are subtle things and quiet moments that often mean more than the big events, and it’s hard to put them into words. To try to encapsulate what we experienced as Low Red Land is like coming home from a 5 year tour. There aren’t words for it, really. We are very lucky people to have been able to share in this with you.
We began recording what would be our new album. The songs that we finished will be mixed this coming weekend, and we will put them out, somehow. We will also be playing at least one more show, here in San Francisco in September, and we may be playing some east coast shows in early October. We will spread the word about the songs and the shows when we finalize details.
It has been a pleasure.

This is bad news. I was really hoping you guys would be back in Colorado this summer. Good luck with anything and everything and thanks for the albums and for the show we played with you. It was truly a highlight of all of the shows we’ve played. Weight of Nations is on regular rotation in my car still after a year.
