Greetings from the Board

Dear GGH supporters,

Drum roll please…the Graduates for a Greener Hamilton executive board is pleased to announce that

The Green Initiatives Fund

is established with the College.

Since February, the friends of GGH pledged nearly

$2,500

toward current sustainability initiatives on the Hill. In light of this, we now ask you to fulfill your pledge and let Hamilton put the money to immediate use! Thank you so much.

To make your payment, please send a check or money order, no cash please, to:

Hamilton College Alumni Office
c/o Jon Hysell '72, P'04, director of annual giving
198 College Hill Road
Clinton, NY, 13323

Checks should be made payable to "Trustees of Hamilton College" and it is important that you annotate in the memo line that it is a gift for The Green Initiatives Fund. If you would prefer to make your gift via credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express), please contact Jon directly at jahysell@hamilton.edu.

In addition, it is also possible to make a gift in appreciated securities, which you can learn more about by visiting the College’s "Ways to Give" page

.

It's taken us a few months to get the fund setup with the alumni office, so if in the interim you forgot the amount you pledged, please

contact us

and we will supply you with the appropriate information.

The Executive Board of GGH is excited to move forward with our fundraising campaign. Your support through gifts large and small is tremendously important. In addition to the Annual Fund, we hope that this fund will provide a new avenue for young alumni to support our alma mater, so please spread the word to your classmates! The New Year is an excellent time of year to give back to Hamilton and if you haven't already given to the Annual Fund, we hope you will.

In closing, as executive board members of GGH, we are very excited to have The Green Initiatives Fund in place and ready for business. It has allowed our hard work to reap a result and we hope that you feel like a big part of this success, because your enthusiastic responses and energy have helped to make all of this a reality. It is clear that young alumni care deeply about our Environment and the role that our alma mater plays in creating a healthier future. We are grateful for your support and optimistic about Hamilton becoming an environmentally-responsible college.

Our goal, as always, is to increase our support network. Our News Year’s resolution is to connect with as many generations of Hamilton graduates as possible. Therefore, please continue spreading the news about GGH to your classmates, and if you have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends or neighbors, who have graduated in years past, please share our Web site with them. We encourage any and all suggestions for how we can improve our efforts and appreciate ideas for future events, so please take the time to drop us a line. In addition, please note that every dollar that is donated to The Green Initiatives Fund is available for students to use immediately, and therefore our impact can start now!

If you have any questions about The Green Initiatives Fund or any of GGH’s past or present projects, please contact us at

greenerhamilton@gmail.com.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Happy New Year,
GGH
